It was in 2009 that Ram Pothineni was in Rajahmundry to shoot for Rama Rama Krishna Krishna. After 15 years, he is once again in the town to shoot for another film. RAPO22, his 22nd movie, is currently being shot there.
The Nenu Sailaja and iSmart Shankar actor was touched by the thunderous welcome he received from the Rajahmundry crowds. The quarry market teemed with crowds upon coming to know that Ram would be there. Ram's fans arranged a huge Gela Mala (made with bananas) to fete him in keeping with the local tradition.
The fans, after adorning Ram with the 'mala', lifted him using a crane. The welcome was nothing short of lovely and memorable.
Coming to RAPO22, actress Bhagyashri Borse is its heroine. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is directed by Mahesh Babu P of Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty fame. RAPO22's cinematography is by Madhu Neelakandan. The Vivek-Mervin duo is composing the music. Avinash Kolla and A Sreekar Prasad, respectively, are the production designer and editor.
