"Feel the passion, the emotion and the intensity of our world- in the most raw and powerful voices of our favourite stars," the makers of Kingdom wrote, releasing the Teaser of Vijay Deverakonda's 12th movie. The pan-Indian movie will head to theatres on May 30 in a grand manner. The film is directed by Jersey fame Gowtam Tinnanuri.
The Telugu teaser is voiced by Jr NTR. The voiceover-based teaser has the Devara actor talk about an accursed land where chaos and mayhem, murder and bullets rule the roost. Enter VD's character, ostensibly destined to take over the reins against all odds. In this largely dialogue-less teaser, the heroic protagonist makes a powerful statement when he affirms that he will go berserk against the enemies of the land.
Unless there is a twist in store, Kingdom is about the rise of a virtuous saviour with a bloody past. He could also be a prisoner who must rise above the machinations of an inhuman system. "Questions. Mistakes. Bloodshed. Destiny," wrote VD, suggesting that there could be a redemption arc in the movie.
With music by Anirudh Ravichander, the film has multiple action set pieces in store: Yannick Ben, Chethan D’Souza, Real Satish. Avinash Kolla's production design looks authentically awesome.
Kingdom, bankrolled jointly by S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya, has Jomon T John and Girish Gangadharan working as cinematographers. Neeraja Kona and Vijai Binni are the costumer and dance choreographer, respectively.
