Suirya's Retro is slated to hit the cinemas on May 1. Sithara Entertainments has acquired the theatrical release rights to the movie's Telugu version. Made originally in Tamil, Retro will be released by the banner in the Telugu States.
"Let the celebrations grow bigger! We are excited to bring you #Retro across Andhra and Telangana," wrote S Naga Vamsi, taking to social media. Retro is directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Pooja Hegde, who will be seen in a special song in Rajinikanth's Coolie this year, is its heroine. Joju George, Jayaram, Karunakaran and others are part of the cast.
Naga Vamsi famously acquired Jr NTR's Devara last year. The film was released in the Telugu States by him. As a producer, Naga Vamsi is currently doing Vijay Deverakonda's Kingdom (May 30th release), Ravi Teja's Mass Jathara, Mad Square (March 29th release), Gowtam Tinnanuri-directed Magic, Naveen Polishetty's Anaganaga Oka Raju, and others.
