It is known that a pirated version of Game Changer was leaked online by a group of approximately 45 individuals on the very day of the film's release, on January 10. Sri Venkateswara Creations lodged a complaint with the Cybercrime Police in Hyderabad. Later, a TV channel named AP Local TV illegally telecasted the pirated film version somewhere in Andhra Pradesh.
The news is that the TV channel's management has been apprehended by the Gajuwaka Police and Crime Clues Team operating under the Visakhapatnam Commissionerate. A joint raid was conducted on AP Local TV, represented by Appala Raju. An FIR has since been filed.
Those individuals who are guilty of sharing video clips of Game Changer will also be tried for violating the provisions of relevant copyright laws.
Game Changer has been a declared box office dud. Estimates say that the Ram Charan-Shankar movie will deliver losses to the tune of 50% to its distributors (at the aggregate level).
