The Income Tax Department today carried out raids at the properties of senior producer Dil Raju, who recently produced two movies, Ram Charan's Game Changer and Venkatesh's Sankranthiki Vasthunam. While the former was a disaster, it involved investment to the tune of hundreds of crores. Venkatesh's movie has been a blockbuster of sorts, grossing nearly Rs 200 Cr since its release on January 14. The success of Venkatesh's movie is speculated to be the reason behind the IT raids.

As per The Hindu, Dil Raju's eight properties including his residence in Ujas Villas of Jubilee Hills and residences of his relatives have come under the radar.

The properties of Mythri Movie Makers are also facing IT raids. Their latest blockbuster, Pushpa 2: The Rule, is a nationwide sensation. The banner, known for mounting big-scale movies, is currently associated with two small projects to be released over the next 45 days: Gandhi Tatha Chettu and 8 Vasanthalu. It will also release Nithiin's Robinhood on March 28. The banner is also producing big movies like Jr NTR's movie with director Prashanth Neel.

Besides the above two production houses, Mango Mass Media is also reportedly facing IT raids. The media house is owned by Rama Krishna Veerapaneni.
