How could Saif Ali Khan recover and be discharged from hospital just three days after he was stabbed multiple times? This is the question many are asking. Netizens are skeptical and feel that there is something suspicious about the whole saga.
A doctor wrote on Twitter that Spinal fluid leakage specifically means a repair was done in the form of thoracic laminectomy. He added, "Even if the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak is repaired, I guess no surgeon can make a patient walk the next day like a lion. Drain is kept at least three days, ideally longer. If laminectomy/decompression was done, no one can walk so casually. Ideally, a brace is given for a few days to support the spine. Everything in this Saif mishap looks manipulative and false," Idiopathic Doctor on X wrote.
However, Amit Thadani, a surgeon, wrote that Saif's fast recovery proves the beauty of modern medicine. "Dural puncture with CSF leak - close the defect, remove drain in 2-3 days and discharge. Nowadays major spine surgery itself has become a 1-day stay with no bed rest needed," he wrote.
Meanwhile, a section of the media is raising doubts over the behaviour of the Mumbai police. As per India Today, the person who was arrested for "stabbing" Saif might not be the person who actually committed the crime. "There is probably a cover up," the TV channel opined, based on the discrepancies in the image of the person captured by CCTV and the picture of the arrested person.
