There was a need for a reunion between Ram Charan and Dil Raju after Game Changer opened to a disastrous 'word of mouth' on January 10. In no time, the Sankranthi release fell apart spectacularly at the box office. It has concluded its full theatrical run with a humiliating figure.
Since the budget of Game Changer was huge, the losses were huge. A reunion between the RRR actor and Dil Raju would have been required to undo the damage done by Game Changer. But Sankranthiki Vasthunam rescued Dil Raju and his distributors from a damning fate. Venkatesh's film becoming a triple blockbuster saved Sri Venkateswara Creations and its distributors.
There is now no pressing need for Charan to do a quickie for Raju. He can now focus on his 16th and 17th movies, directed respectively by Buchi Babu Sana and Sukumar. These two projects are expected to keep him occupied for the next 2.5 years.
