Director Lokesh Kanagaraj plans to do a superhero movie with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter India, he described that movie as the biggest action film ever (from India). It will be made for the global audience.
The word 'biggest' is loosely thrown around, but Lokesh is someone who doesn't use words liberally. In the coming years, debates will flourish around the scale of the pan-Indian action spectacles like the Allu Arjun-Atlee movie, Prabhas' Kalki 2898 AD and a couple of other movies. The Lokesh-Aamir movie and the Bunny-Atlee movie apparently share a similarity: They both have superhero elements. Even Kalki 2898 AD will have fantasy/sci-fi elements.
The Lokesh-Aamir movie will go on the floors probably in early 2027. It might be released in theatres in 2028. Lokesh will take on this project after Karthi's Kaithi 2.
