Fish Venkat played a small yet impactful role in Jr NTR's 2002 film Aadi. He was known for playing small-time "henchman" or "goon" type roles till then. They often came with a comedic touch due to his unique Telangana dialect. His iconic dialogue "Thoda Kottu Chinna" from Aadi became quite popular, and it changed his life forever.
"After Aadi, I didn't have to look back. It was VV Vinayak garu's character design that changed my career. He is my Godfather in the industry," Fish Venkat said.
Years later, Pawan Kalyan's Gabbar Singh was another push that propelled Fish Venkat to the next level. He once again became a busy artist with a flurry of offers. "Pawan sir liked me in Kushi," Venkat said, speaking to iNews many years ago.
Fish Venkat passed away late Friday night. He was battling kidney-related ailments.
