Hrithik Roshan's look in the teaser of War 2 has been adored by the audience. The YRF Spy Universe film, co-starring Jr NTR, has the Super 30 actor in the role of a super-spy.
For War 2, the aim was to give Kabir (Hrithik's name in the film) a deeper, darker, and more layered feel. While still retaining his signature sharpness and a lived-in approach, his look emotionally resonates with his character.
In a statement, costume designer Anaita Shroff Adajania spoke about styling the Bollywood superstar. Having worked with Hrithik on repeat, she knows what looks the best for him. After films like Dhoom 2, War 2 is one film where Hrithik is at his most elegant self. "With the War franchise, I consciously changed the style. Instead of the grunge aesthetic, I opted for a cleaner, sleeker look for him," she says. The grunge aesthetic stands for a deliberate rejection of mainstream fashion trends, favoring instead an anti-fashion approach. Hrithik's look doesn't follow that path in War 2.
The costumer wanted to ensure that the hero looks determined yet casual, and not too sophisticated.
War 2 is scheduled to hit the cinemas on August 14 in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil.
