The songs Chusthu Chusthu and O Prema from Artiste may have given rise to the impression that the film is a soft one, but the Trailer is anything but gentle. Released at an event in Hyderabad, the Trailer features the lead man in a psychotic and neurotic role of sorts. There are killings, threats, bloodshed and more. "Presenting Murder is an Art, he is an artiste. He is a passionate, Most dedicated, hardcore artiste. Who is the main artiste in both of them? Revealing soon... the emotional journey of him," the Trailer declares.
Speaking at the film's event, lyricist Rambabu Gosala stated that he has penned all the songs in Artiste. He appreciated producer James Watt Kommu and director Ratan Rishi on the occasion. Music director Suresh Bobbili said that Ratan has handled Artiste with "great care". James' passion was referred to by him.
Actress Sneha Madhuri Sharma is confident that her performance will be remembered for long. Venky, who has played a crucial role, said that the lead pair (read Santosh Kalwacherla, Krisheka Patel) are going to impress one and all. Tagubothu Ramesh and Venky have a number of scenes together in the movie.
Comedian Tagubothu Ramesh said that actor Santosh becomes a different person in front of the camera. "The movie has been watched. It has shaped up extremely well," he said.
Suresh Basanth has functioned as the film's Executive Producer. Describing the Trailer as "fantastic", he added that producer James is known for his dedication.
Actress Krisheka thanked the makers for the opportunity to play a leading role. "Jaanu is my name in the movie. Santosh is a pleasurable person to work with. Please watch our movie only in theatres," she added.
Producer James Watt said that he kept travelling to and fro between the US and India during the making of Artiste. "I aim to platform new talents through my production house. Ratan Rishi will go on to become a reputed director. We are thankful to T-Series for releasing our songs," he added.
Hero Santosh revealed that the film highlights a socially-relevant issue. He mentioned that the film's screenplay is unique. He praised the passion shown by producer James.
Director Ratan Rishi said that the story of Artiste carries a lot of emotion. "The final twenty minutes is going to be intense. Don't go by the trailer and conclude that it is a violent movie. The actual movie has less dose of bloodshed. This is a psycho thriller with a lot of suspense built into the story. We are fully confident," he remarked.
Co-starring Satyam Rajesh, Prabhakar, Vinay Varma, Tanekella Bharani, Soniya Akula, Bhadram and others, Artiste will be released on March 21 through Mythri Movie Distributors.
