Natural Star Nani is fond of two of his average box office performers: Bheemili Kabaddi Jattu and Pilla Zamindar. In a chit-chat recently, Nani said that good films find their audience and fan base eventually.
"Long after Pilla Zamindar was released in theatres, people think it was a huge blockbuster and the biggest hit in my career. They think it made Rs 100 Cr," Nani said. In reality, the movie received a mixed 'word of mouth' when it was released in 2011.
Pilla Zamindar is a coming-of-age comedy drama film written and directed by G Ashok, who later went on to make Anushka Shetty's Bhaagamathie. The film also features Haripriya, Bindu Madhavi, Srinivas Avasarala, Dhanraj, Thagubothu Ramesh, Rao Ramesh and Nagineedu. The film's story is loosely based on a Korean movie titled A Millionaire's First Love (2006.
Nani is currently doing HIT 3 (May 1st release) and The Paradise (yet to go on the floors). Rumour is that his planned project with Kollywood director Cibi Chakravarthy has been shelved. Next year, Nani will team up with director Sujeeth.
