Vivek Kuchibhotla has been appointed by the Andhra Pradesh government as a key member of a home department committee meant to examine the issues pertaining to rationalizing the movie ticket rates in the State. Taking to social media, Vivek Kuchibhotla wrote that he was honoured to be a part of the committee to study cinema admission rates.
"A crucial step in understanding audience access, exhibitor sustainability, and producer interests is being made. Looking forward to balanced, constructive insights," he added. He thanked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh for giving him the opportunity.
The Andhra Pradesh government is interested in adopting a streamlined process that satisfies the demands of exhibitors and distributors without compromising on the commercial interests of producers.
