Actress Meenakshi Chaudhary shot to fame with Lucky Baskhar last year. Sankranthiki Vasthunamm's brilliant success this year has boosted her career prospects further, helping her land Naga Chaitanya's Vrusha Karma.
The news is that Meenakshi is essaying the role of an archaeologist in Vrusha Karma. Touted to be a mythical thriller, this one is coming from director Karthik Dandu of Virupaksha fame.
For Meenakshi, this film is crucial. While she has scored two hits in recent months, topping it off with a hit opposite a medium-range hero like Chay will be a shot in the arm. She is also doing Naveen Polishetty's Anaganaga Oka Raju.
In an interview last year, Meenakshi Chaudhary spoke about her middle-class background. "My father was in the Army, and my mother, who studied only till 10th grade, is a homemaker. We're from a small village in Punjab, and I am the first doctor, and media personality from my family and village. We used to buy bigger clothes to fit for the next year. My parents encouraged me to get educated, and they handed down my books to my younger brother," she said.
