Bellamkonda Sreenivas recently stated that he takes comfort from the fact that the box office performance of Chatrapathi (the Hindi remake of Rajamouli's movie) was relatively better. As per him, the film opened and closed at a higher range than Ram Pothineni's Double iSmart and Ravi Teja's Tiger Nageswara Rao.
Chatrapathi seems to have benefited because of its title more than anything else. To see its relative 'success' as evidence of Bellamkonda's popularity vis-a-vis Ravi Teja and Ram would be naive. Ravi Teja continues to be among the most popular Telugu stars in the Hindi belt.
Bellamkonda Sreenivas awaits the release of four movies, all of which could be released in a span of one year. Bhairavam will be the first one to be released (on May 30). This one co-stars Nara Rohit and Manchu Manoj. The film is directed by Vijay Kanakamedala. Kishkindhapuri, Tyson Naidu, and Haindava will be the next ones to be released.
