Today, RGV announced that Baahubali actress Ramya Krishna has assumed another leading role. The senior actress is rumoured to have been offered a fat paycheck for the role. She was initially not up for it.
Her most notable recent appearance was in the massive 2023 Tamil hit Jailer, where she played the wife of superstar Rajinikanth. In 2024, she was seen in Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram. In 2023, she also starred in the Telugu drama Ranga Maarthanda, directed by Krishna Vamsi. She featured in the multi-lingual sports-action film Liger, starring Vijay Deverakonda. Gopichand Malineni-directed Jaat was another of her recent movies.
