Years after it was made official, Spirit is finally on the floors. Headlined by Prabhas (in the role of a disgraced cop, as the system), the film was launched today in the presence of Chiranjeevi, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's personal favourite. Incidentally, Chiru was rumoured to be playing a role in the multi-lingual release, a piece of gossip rejected recently by the director. "Heartfelt thank you to our MEGASTAR CHIRANJEEVI sir for blessing the event with his presence. Sir..... your gesture is unforgettable — we all love you," Vanga wrote on X.
Spirit, produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, will be released in all major southern Indian languages, Hindi, and in three international languages (Mandarin, Japan, Korean). Tripti Dimri is the female lead. Kanchana and Vivek Oberoi will be playing crucial roles. Prakash Raj has been cast in an important role. Supreme Sundar and Raj Thota are the action director and cinematographer, respectively. Harshavardhan Rameshwar has finished composing the BGM.
Spirit is likely to be released in theatres in the second half of 2027.
