A young Reddit user has claimed that Siddu Jonnalagadda's Telusu Kada was adapted from a screenplay he had written and pitched to Samantha Ruth Prabhu way back in 2020. As per the person, he not only gave a narration to Samantha but also to Natural Star Nani, Jersey director Gowtam Tinnanuri and a few producers he didn't name in his post.
As per the screenshots of WhatsApp chats he shared, his image has taken a beating after the release of Telusu Kada recently. Those to whom he had given narrations now believe that the story was never his to begin with.
So far, director Neeraja Kona and others associated with Telusu Kada haven't said anything about the controversy. Unless the individual takes a legal route and comes back with solid evidence, nothing can be concluded. Over the years, many aspiring screenwriters/novelists have claimed that their ideas were stolen. The court case related to Mahesh Babu's Srimantudu evidently sustained. However, complaints against films like Balagam didn't.
