A top-ranking Kenyan official has revealed that the Mahesh Babu-Rajamouli movie will be shot extensively in Kenya. The Africa-bound portions will be majorly set in this country.

"Rajamouli's team of 120 crew members chose Kenya after an extensive scouting tour across East Africa, settling on our nation as the primary filming destination where nearly 95% of the African scenes are being shot," Musalia W Mudavadi wrote.

Rajamouli has zeroed in on the sweeping plains of the Masai Mara, the scenic Naivasha, the rugged Samburu, and the iconic Amboseli, the official added. "Kenya’s landscapes are now etched into what is set to become the largest film production in Asia. Scheduled for release in over 120 countries, the movie is expected to reach more than a billion viewers worldwide," he wrote.

The film's title will be revealed in November. With music by MM Keeravani and cinematography by PS Vinod (Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Sita Ramam fame), it is currently being referred to as SSMB29.
