Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle is gearing up for a worldwide release on September 12. As per early trade reports, the Indian release is going to be super-successful. Advance bookings are on a rampage.
"The Japanese animated film records HISTORIC ADVANCES in India. Sold out shows in no time. IMAX adds 5 am shows on public demand, and even that’s filling fast. FIRST EVER ANIMATED FILM TO HAVE 5 AM SHOWS. Prepare for a shocker first day on the coming Friday," wrote BO analyst Himesh Mankad. In the next 2-3 days, the precise momentum will become clear.
Demon Slayer was released in Japanese on July 18th. And it was a super-hit on its home ground. "The film broke several box office records and grossed $294 million worldwide in 38 days. It became the highest-grossing film of 2025 in Japan and the third highest-grossing film in the country's history," the movie's Wikipedia page says.
September 12th will see the release of Telugu movies Mirai and Kishkindhapuri. Will Demon Slayer prove to be a competitor?
