In these days of fast vanishing relationships director Srikanth Addala has come up with a story that tells the importance of a joint family and how it helps build stronger relationship. The title ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ promotes heavily the native feeling to the Telugu audience. This Dil Raju’s prestigious production venture featuring Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu as brothers (for the first time) and Anjali and Samantha as leading ladies is getting ready to entertain during the coming Sankranthi. Musical scores composed by Mickey J Meyer will be released on 16th. Meanwhile on the eve of Venkatesh’s 52nd birthday today, (13th December), the actor organised a press meet and spoke about his upcoming movies. Here are few excerpts:
He started of his interview by speaking a few words about SVSC: Two years ago, when director Srikanth Addala narrated the story to
me,Iwas very impressed by it. Since I’m a great fan of family entertainers, I instantly agreed to do the film. The story of ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ revolves around two brothers. The movie has all kinds of elements like wonderful emotions, feel good comedy, romance, etc. Prakash Raj and Jayasudha played excellent roles. This film will easily connect well with each member in a family. It’s on par with my earlier film ‘Sakranthi’. The expectations have gone high after the release of first look teaser. Mickey J Meyer’s music is the highlight.
About director and producer: Srikanth Addala is very clear in what he says. He is one of those directors, who are very natural and talented. He knows how to take a well-crafted film with two big heroes perfectly balancing both. He extracts what he requires from the artists as per the story. The audience will celebrate double festival for this Sankranti. On the other hand, the stories which Dil Raju selects have turned him into a good producer. His production values are really amazing.
About Mahesh Babu: He is very clear in acting and a good performer. He is serious while he works and at the same time he is also jovial on the sets. He is the superstar in dances. Those who saw us together on the sets opined that we both look like own brothers.
About Shadow: Shadow is an action revenge drama that would showcase me in a stylish look. The movie is in final phase of shooting. ‘Shadow’ will entertain the masses vastly. Families too will enjoy it. Major part of the film was shot in Malaysia. Shooting of climax is taking place in Hyderabad. Mehar Ramesh is doing a great job.
Regarding a film with Trivikram Srinivas he answered: We were actually supposed to do a film after ‘Nuvvu Naaku Nachchav’, but it somehow got delayed. Later he too became busy with other projects. Infact. if time permits we would certainly do a film something like ‘Nuvvu Naaku Nachchav-2’. Already scarcity for directors is also gradually increasing along with heroines.”
When asked about a multi-starrer movie with Rana he replied: Yes, we are up for it, but again it’s all about the script. It’s got to be a good one. We have already gone through few scripts. Rana too improved his acting skills. ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ gave him a good commercial hit. Together we casually did an item song in it and the response was tremendous.
About his son Arjun: Arjun has interest on films too but he has his own plans. He is a good student and presently his focus is on education. There is still time for him to make up his mind.
About his forthcoming films: My next multi-starrer will be ‘Bol Bachchan’ with hero Ram. Vivekananda completed the script work. We need a good team to deal a subject like this. We are in the process of selecting the suitable cast and crew. So the rest of the details will be revealed next year.

About CCL matches he said: The CCL matches will be in the months of February and March. This time two more teams are expected to join.
Venkatesh concluded saying: Telugu film industry saw this kind of multi-starrer movie some 25 years ago. I’m now confident that SVSC will set a new multi-starrer trend in Tollywood. I hope the audience will watch and enjoy our film which is set for release on January 11th as Sankranthi gift.
