Ram Kaarthik awaits the release of 'FCUK' on February 12. In this interview, he talks about sharing screen space with Jagapathi Babu, working with Ammu Abhirami, director Vidyasagar Raju, producer KL Damodar Prasad and more.

I thank the media for popularizing our movie, which is quite unique in many respects. Director Vidyasagar Raju garu has done 'Rachayita' previously. I was not chosen for this movie randomly. So many were considered and auditioned for the character. There is a strong reason why they picked me. After coming to know the reason, I felt even more responsible.
I have played a funny, boy-next-door role in the film. Jagapathi Babu sir is a flirt in the movie, so also his son, played by myself. I am happy to have got to share screen space with a senior actor like him. There is an emotional scene in the movie where I need to dominate him. I was tensed to do the scene. But when I spoke with him, I felt relaxed. In one of the scenes, I have to hurl a wine glass at his face. Doing that scene was challenging because I respect Jagapathi Babu garu a lot.
The director has helped me reach the next level as an actor. Chitti, an infant, enters the story all of a sudden. There is a love story between my character and Ammu Abhirami. How Chitti's entry affects the love story is the crux. There is a lot of confusion comedy and it's very entertaining.
Producer KL Damodar Prasad garu involved himself to ensure that the project speaks for itself. 'FCUK' is the result of thorough teamwork. He is more than a passionate producer.
I and Bharath (who was a popular child artist) have funny scenes. Although his screen time is limited, he is effective. Ammu Abhirami has got a lot of memory power. Although she is a Tamilian, she could mouth the Telugu lines well.
The title has a meaning and although the sounding is different, it's apt. A song titled 'Poovalle' is quite emotional. It was written and sung by Bheems, the music director. He told us he penned the song imagining his daughter. The entire album is effective and credit goes to Bheems.
The whole team is confident that 'FCUK' will be a hit. Competition is always there at the box-office. We are not feeling any pressure. Our film is different from the genre of 'Uppena'. So, I think it won't make much difference.
Talent is the ultimate thing. Having a background in the film industry will become irrelevant after a point. In the end, talent is all that matters.
