Maha Samudram will be released in theatres soon. In this interview, Siddharth talks about his character in the movie, working with the likes of Sharwanand and Aditirao Hydari, his upcoming movies and more.
Q. How have you been? Have you recovered from the surgery?
A. First, I would like to hear from you people about your wellness. How are you all?
Secondly, I am fine and recovered well. But, I did not undergo any surgery. It is a small miscommunication that I underwent surgery. I actually got an injury shooting for Maha Samudram's climax. But, recovered well.
Q. How did Maha Samudram happen to you?
A. Once I decided to get back to regular shooting and sing projects, I promised my fans that I will try to make a remarkable comeback. Having watched RX 100, I have an understanding of Ajay Bhupathi's conviction. So, I okayed this movie in the very first sitting.
Q. When did you start shooting for Maha Samudram?
A. I was ready for the movie, Ajay was ready. But, as there are so many things we need to consider before everything falls in place, we had to wait. Then we wanted Sharwanand on board and we had to wait for a while. After that, Covid happened and it became quite complex. It was a hard time for us all. So, we waited patiently. Thanks to Anil Sunkara garu for all the trust and patience.
Q. Tell us more about your roles in the movie?
A. I cannot reveal much about our roles in specific. But, there is a promotional trailer coming up soon, which would hint at some of the roles in Maha Samudram. Coming to Sharwanand and my roles, Ajay Bhupathi has written them so well. I am excited to see the two characters on the screen.
Q. About the response from the viewers regarding the teasers and trailers?
A. Ajay Bhupathi has cut these videos in a beautiful, yet has kept everything so intact. I have been receiving comments that the teasers are so good, yet there is something unrevealed from the movie.
Q. Do you play the negative in Maha Samudram?
A. See, there is nothing good or nothing bad. Every situation changes the perspective of different people. I am not sure if my role belongs to a specific type.
Q. How is it coming back to the Telugu Film Industry?
A. I really missed the Telugu audience. I am not saying this for the sake. But, I have been trying to get back for a long time. I think this is a perfect comeback.
Q. How was it working with Sharwanand?
A. I had met Sharwa a few years back. But, in between the gap, Sharwa has really grown up into a huge star, holding a decent fan base, for which I am so happy and proud. It was a great time working with him. He asks many questions, we interact all the time. It was a mutual learning session for us both.
Siddharth also speaks about how OTT platforms have changed the face of entertainment, and how much the audience has evolved. So, he shares about the chances of making it to the theaters, which he considers 'Maha Samudram' has made it possible for him.
