'7 Days 6 Nights' is slated to hit the cinemas on June 24. The rom-com stars Sumanth Ashwin, Meher Chahal, Rohan and Krithika Shetty in lead roles. New actress Meher Chahal has played a relatable role in this MS Raju directorial. Catch her talk about her character, the film, and more.

I was born in Assam and have got to live in different parts of India since my childhood, as my father is a government job holder. I have been in Mumbai for 4-5 years in the past, and am currently living in Kolkata with my parents. I love to travel and know about different cultures.

While in Mumbai, I was working for an agency. My director (MS Raju) saw my profile and called me for an audition. He knows better and he chose me immediately after the audition. I must have fit the role or something. That's why he chose me.

It was quite a fun film. When I researched about MS Raju sir, I learned that he has previously worked with the likes of Prabhas. It was exciting to team up with him. Even the script is exciting, considering the story revolves around youngsters and teens. The vibes are enjoyable.

While shooting, we were in a chilled-out space. The director was easy-going and the director was friendly. It was a casual atmosphere. He let us go with the flow and let us enjoy the process.

I have played a typical teen girl who lives in Goa and works at a restaurant. She is initially shy. She gets along with the two lead men along with her female friend when the men visit Goa on a trip. There is something more to the story, which I can't reveal.

It's a rom-com that is in the mold of a 'Houseful' (Hindi) in some ways, watching which you can have a very good laugh. It was a mix of all emotions when I bagged the film. I was a little nervous in the beginning but I am grateful that everything went well eventually, thanks to my director and the team.

We got to shoot in Goa and Mangalore. It was joyful to shoot on the beach. It was a lot of fun. With everything, you get to learn. I had to put in long hours of work. It was hectic at times. But that is to be expected! I got to work with people from different backgrounds.

I worked on my lines before the shoot began although I have not dubbed my voice, though. I have watched the movie and found it enjoyable throughout. It's a fun film. For a first movie, I think it has come out really well as far as I am concerned.

Not just youngsters, everyone in the family can watch '7 Days 6 Nights'. My character in this film has traits that you will find in a lot of young women who are staying away from their families and working in a new place.

It's not a bold film. Wearing a swimsuit while in Goa doesn't mean that the film is bold. There is nothing vulgar or out of context. It's a new-age film and it helped that our director mingled with us youngsters throughout the shoot. He is patient and doesn't intimidate you. He listens to people and is quite accommodating. That's what made it easy to work with him.

My second film I have done is a mystery thriller. I like to be challenged. I want to step out of my comfort zone as an actor. I like realistic movies.

I have seen the movies featuring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Dhanush from southern films. In Hindi, I like the likes of Pankaj Tripathi and Vijay Raaz.
