Star heroine Sree Leela will be seen in a commercial role in 'Skanda', which is slated to hit the cinemas this Thursday (September 28). Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the film stars Ram Pothineni in the lead.
Here are the excerpts from Sree Leela's interview about the mass action entertainer:
I am very excited about 'Skanda'. The audience is giving a lot of love and appreciation. I will be seen as a woman who strictly abides by rules. Both mass and class elements have been mixed into it. My chemistry with Ram Pothineni is going to be amazing. Boyapati Sreenu took very special care. I also enjoyed dubbing for my character a great deal.
It is not easy to match Ram's dancing. But we both complemented each other. I also tried something new in terms of dance moves.
Besides entertaining scenes and colourful songs, I am also part of a few emotional scenes. There is also college campus drama. Ram and I share cute chemistry. After 'Skanda', my fondness for action movies has only gone up. Boyapati's trademark style is to show mass elements and action sequences brilliantly. 'Skanda' is a grand spectacle. And it is a new experience for me.
Working with Ram was a wonderful experience. I am new to doing a role of this nature. He guided me a lot throughout. I am lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Ram so early in my career.
'Skanda' is a movie with good family emotions along with (loads of) action and several big artists. Producer Srinivasaa Chitturi of Srinivasaa Silver Screen has mounted the film on a grand scale without compromising on anything.
This is not the first time that I have dubbed for my character. I have previously done so in the case of 'Dhamaka'. When it comes to 'Skanda', the director was clear about what he wanted. This is the first time that I have delivered powerful dialogues.
Skanda's songs (the music is by SS Thaman) and dances are also very good. From desi mass to Western dance moves, you have got everything in it.
