"My selection process is driven purely by content that genuinely excites me. We undertake these projects with the hope that the audience will genuinely enjoy and appreciate the kind of story we are telling. When the audience finally connects with the work, that brings me immense joy," says Samyuktha, whose Akhanda 2 will hit the cinemas this Friday. In this interview, she talks about her career and her character in Akhanda 2.

Director Boyapati Sreenu garu has envisioned this film with incredible scope, and it promises to be beyond our wildest imagination. My character is pivotal during a crucial sequence and is presented in a very stylish manner. I was also told that I would be performing a song (Jajikaya) in the film. To be honest, I felt very nervous when I first heard the track. I had never attempted such a high-energy, "mass" song before. Despite my initial apprehension, I was determined to deliver a brilliant performance. Unfortunately, after two days of intense practice, I experienced issues with my knee and had to undergo physiotherapy. Ultimately, my primary goal is always to ensure the audience is thoroughly entertained when they come to the cinema.

Balakrishna garu is an exceptionally friendly and approachable person. I first had the pleasure of meeting him during an advertisement shoot, and even then, he spoke to me as if we were long-time acquaintances. Professionally, he is a true director's actor, fully committed to executing the director's vision. I greatly admire this quality in him; it makes the working environment very comfortable and collaborative. He works tirelessly for the institution. The very first time we met, he immediately extended an invitation for me to attend an event aimed at cancer awareness.

All the songs released thus far have been met with a wonderful reception. Notably, the music in this film serves as a tribute to Lord Shiva. Composer Thaman has paid exceptional attention to the background score; the blend of Sanskrit phrases and powerful lyrics is designed to transport the audience into a state of trance. Ram Achanta and Gopi Achanta are exemplary producers and have been incredibly supportive. Making a film of this magnitude would simply not be possible without their dedication and backing. Furthermore, the film's promotions have been executed brilliantly and are successfully reaching audiences across the country.

The way the Telugu audience celebrate cinema is absolutely amazing. Seeing their enthusiastic celebration on the first day of release is what makes us truly addicted to success.

I am very happy with how things are going in my career. I received numerous film offers following the success of Virupaksha, but I am being selective about the projects I choose. Interestingly, I signed Bimbisara, Virupaksha, Sir, and Bheemla Nayak almost simultaneously; their release schedules just ended up being spread out.

Nikhil Siddhartha's Swayambhu (February 2026 release) and Sharwanand's Nari Nari Naduma Murari (Sankranthi 2026 release) are up for release next. I have also shot for Puri Jagannadh's movie (starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead).
