You started off your acting career as a model and later entered the film industry. What is the difference between the two?
Modeling is way more easier than cinema. Cinema and modeling cannot be really compared.

Describe your feelings when you faced the camera for the first time?

I was nervous....unsure about what I was doing, and enjoyed all the attention in front of the camera.

Your schedule seems to be quite heavy with four Kannada films, two Malayalam films and a Telugu film. How are you coping?

I am very organized, as I block dates with one movie I inform all others that I am unavailable at those particular dates. I am a workaholic, I hate free time. So it all works in my favour.

How do you get into the characters?

I have very brief discussions with my directors about the character I am playing. I do a lot of homework by observing the filmy characters and comparing them to real people.

So, during the shooting of ‘Mugguru’ you met Navdeep, Rahul, Srinivas, Reema Sen, Shraddha Das, Sanjana and Brahmanandam. Tell us a bit about them, like your first impression on them.

All are sweet and professional people. Reema, Shraddha and I are great friends and I am

glad I got to meet them through ‘Mugguru’.

How do you describe ‘Mugguru’?

A crazy laughter riot! We had a blast while shooting for it. I am sure the audience will enjoy the film like crazyyyy.

Your working experience with director V N Aditya and producer D Ramanaidu?

I am blessed to be working with V N Aditya and Suresh Productions.

You are basically a Kannada actress right. But you have acted in all south Indian languages. Which film industry according to you is most comfortable to work with?

I haven’t yet worked in Tamil. All industries are equally comfortable and very professional. In terms of the viewership Telugu is very big.

Any plans to step into Bollywood?

Not right now, if some big Bollywood film comes my way then definitely. However I am not going to go search for an opportunity.

‘Bujjigadu’ was you first film in Telugu and it has also brought you to limelight. How did this happen?

Puri sir liked me in a commercial ad that I have done for fasttrack with John Abraham and casted me in ‘Bujjigadu’.

If you are asked to choose any one actor to act with - Mahesh Babu, NTR, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun, who would you choose?

All of them are talented in different ways. Any actress will choose to work with all of them :)

Among the heroines today, who do you think the best actress in South India?

Trisha is a fine actress, so is Nayantara.

Tell us the most interesting thing about you.

I love cinema, friends, inspiring books, swimming, browsing, horse riding, etc. Also check my blog www.youtube.com/sanjjanaa to know more on my personal front.

What do you do for fun?

I hang out with friends, and travel out of the country when ever I get a chance.

If you could change one thing about youself, what would it be?

My shoe size is 42. (size 10) and I have to shop for my shoes only in USA. So that’s something.

Who is your favourite person in the world and why?

Sooo many, but I judge people by there well being. I like them only if they are nice human beings irrespective of their wealth n success.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?

I live a life of a bag packer. So I have to see all 7 wonders of the world :) I am done with Great Wall of China so far.

Tell us a bit about your family and your educational background?

I was a brat in school n collage…hahaha ... I discontinued post 12th ... I will get back to studying but after a couple of years.

What kind of films do you watch?

Comedy, lite hearted ones are my favourite kind of films. I watch all kinda films…it helps me polish my skills.

What is next for Sanjana in Telugu?

I have heard a lota scripts, I am super choosy of what I do now as I have my hands full until February. So I have to see what really interests me... but I am very excited about the release of ‘Mugguru’.

Controversy arouse around your past film 'Dussasana'. Your comments.

Controversies are not meant to be taken seriously. They are a part n parcel of stardom.

In today's cinema, what do you believe in, glamour or performance oriented roles?
