‘Urimi’ is the visual painting of cinematographer cum director Santosh Sivan. The film is based on the real life incidents that occurred in 15th century. The director deals with the episode when Vasco Da Gama pioneered sea voyage to India and the history of Indian monarchs during that era. The movie has a lot of natural cinematography without much of graphics usage. The star cast involved themselves in their respective characters while shooting for the film. Prabhu Deva, Prithviraj and Arya are the male leads in the film. Prabhu Deva’s mind boggling dances and comedy,
Prithviraj’s expressions and Arya’s ferocious action are the biggest assets of the film. Genelia played the role of a princess who fights against the British. Nithya Menen is yet another heroine who also played the princess role. Apart from them Vidya Balan and Tabu’s dances are the bonus. All songs in the films give a visual treat to the audience. Deepak Dev’s music and re-recording work are said to be on par with Hollywood flicks. Overall the movie is being made with high technical values.
