Trilingual film ‘English Vinglish’, which features evergreen beauty Sridevi, will be premiered in the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in Canada on September 14. ‘English Vinglish’ marks the comeback of 80s and 90s movie queen Sridevi after a 14 year sabbatical. It also features French actor Mehdi Nebbou, Adil Hussain and Priya Anand in important roles. Sridevi, director Gauri Shinde, producer Balki and all lead actors will walk the red carpet.
In the movie, Sridevi plays a housewife, who enrolls for an English speaking course to please her husband and family. Directed by Gauri Shinde, ‘English Vinglish’ is being dubbed into Telugu and Tamil and will be released simultaneously along with Hindi version on September 21st. Apart from this movie, Deepa Mehta’s ‘Midnight’s Children’ starring Satya Bhabha, Shriya Saran, Shabana Azmi, Siddharth and Anupam Kher will also be against 60 other international movies at 37th Toronto International Film Festival that runs from September 6-16, 2012.
