Zanjeer/Toofan falls into trouble due to SC stay order

Ram Charan’s ‘Zanjeer’ release has remained a mystery as the film is facing lot of problems firstly due to Sanjay Dutt and next due to its producer Amit Mehra. Yes, as per the latest reports, the Supreme Court has ordered a stay on the release of Ram Charan’s ‘Zanjeer’ remake which is taking shape under the direction of Apoorva Lakhia. Even though the Bombay High Court has given a green signal to producer Amit Mehra over the remake of 1973 film ‘Zanjeer’, the Supreme Court ordered the stay in the wake of Amit’s brothers, Sumeet and Puneet, who approached it against the High Court order citing non-paynment of dues by Amit as per the contract that gave him the remake rights. ‘Zanjeer’ is simulataneously being made in Hindi and Telugu (Toofan) and it marks Ram Charan’s debut in Bollywood. It also marks Devisri Prasad’s debut in Bollywood. The film featuring Ram Charan, Priyanka Chopra, Sanjay Dutt, Sri Hari, Prakash Raj and Mahi Gill was scheduled for June release.
