No mandatory closing of cinema halls in Telangana

It has been reported that theatres in Telangana have been mandatorily closed till May 1. Contrary to what has been reported, there is no compulsory shut down of cinema halls by any theatre association.

Most of the cinema halls have been closed from today because there practically are no new releases coming up for the next 15 days at least.

Those screening 'Vakeel Saab' are continuing to operate. There is no government-mandated closure of cinema halls in force. Since the Pawan Kalyan-starrer is drawing crowds to an extent, these halls are catering to patrons by observing Covid-19 protocols. In view of the night curfew in Telangana, no show will be held beyond 8 PM.
