'Devineni' is an upcoming movie allegedly on the saga of Devineni Nehru and Vangaveeti. The makers have clarified that the political drama will not offend any section of the audience or political support groups. Director Narra Sivanagu, in a statement, said that the film is coming with the tagline 'Bejawada Simham'.
Speaking at a presser, the director said, "This is not a biopic on Devineni Nehru. It's an imaginary story. This is a commercial film. We have been receiving so many calls and messages from anonymous elements. Our film will not offend anyone. The media has been describing 'Devineni' as a biopic. This is not one. Some people are threatening to drag us to the courts. Their fears are imaginary."
The film has got UA rating.
Banerjee is playing Vangaveeti Radha, while Suresh Kondeti is playing Vangaveeti Ranga. Thummala Prasanna Kumar is Chalasani Venkata Ratnam. Music composer Koti is playing KS Vyas.
