Love Story is going to be seen as a classic: Nagarjuna

The success event of 'Love Story' was held on Tuesday evening at a star hotel in Hyderabad. The event was graced by Akkineni Nagarjuna as a chief guest.

Speaking on the occasion, producer D Suresh Babu said that 'Love Story' has brought back the magic of watching movies in theatres. I laud director Sekhar Kammula and congratulate the producers on this occasion."

Producer Nayandas Narang said, "I am glad about the success of our movie. I am happy that, with the success of our movie, a lot of other films are firming up release dates. This is a great sign."

Lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja, who wrote 'Saranga Dariya' for the movie, said that there is always a chemistry between a writer and a director. He lauded Kammula and also singer Mangli for taking the folk song tune to millions of listeners.

Director Kammula said, "This success has given us great relief. I usually don't worry much about my movies' box office performance. We have dealt with two sensitive issues in the movie. I laud the actors for giving their best. Rajeev Kanakala garu, who played the negative role, was courageous enough to do the role. Easwari Rao garu's performance has been enjoyed by the audience. Ever since Chiranjeevi garu attended the pre-release event, the hype around our movie only increased."

Sai Pallavi said, "My grandfather is a huge fan of Nagarjuna garu's performance in 'Annamayya'. I thank director Kammula garu for making a meaningful movie like this one. Music, editing, cinematography - everything is so special. The audience are enjoying our movie in theatres."

Naga Chaitanya said, "September 24th was a magical day for us. We were once scared that the audience might not watch any movie in theatres due to the pandemic. But they have lapped up our movie in a massive way. The success of 'Love Story' proves that Kammula garu carries a lot of goodwill. This is a musical success and it was great working with Sai Pallavi and others."

Nagarjuna said, "This feels like a 'humanity' success meet today. Coronavirus is receding in the Telugu States. The success of 'Love Story' has given a boost not just to Tollywood but also to the entire Indian film industry. The Day 1 worldwide share was Rs 7 Cr. Thanks to the success, the industry is now confident to release movies for Dasara and other festivals in the coming months." Nag also lauded Kammula's directorial style, his son's performance, Sai Pallavi and others.
