'Baahubali' Prabhakar's suspense thriller launched

'Baahubali' Prabhakar, who essayed Kalakeya in the Rajamouli directorial, will headline an untitled project whose co-star is Shakala Shankar. Directed by Palik and produced by Ravula Ramesh, the project was launched today.

Speaking on the occasion, the makers gave away the premise of the film. Untoward incidents happen in the house of a retired army officer a night. What follows next is the crux of the story.

Prabhakar, on his part, refused to describe himself as a hero. "I am playing a significant role. Director Palik first narrated the story to me during the peak of the pandemic. Due to several reasons, the project couldn't be taken on the floors," he added.

Vindhya Reddy is penning the story. "Palik garu is my guru. I have been working under him for the past three years. The story has come out really well," Reddy added.

A suspense thriller, the film has got Prabhakar playing a character with two shades.

The film will go on the floors later this month. The first schedule will be canned in Goa, while the second one will be canned in Hyderabad and Araku.

Chalapathi Rao, Sudha, Jeeva, Soujanya, Sailaja, Anusha, Pallavi, Siddhu, and others are part of the cast. Music is by John.
