Flop director Teja is not getting over his 'Jayam' hangover

Teja is described by many as a 3-film wonder: 'Chitram', 'Nuvvu Nenu', and 'Jayam' are his only good movies. All those were released more than 20 years back.

Yet, Teja is unable to get over the hangover of their success. At a time when he is waiting for the theatrical release of 'Ahimsa', he is making self-styled utterances. Consider these recent comments by him:

"Abhiram Daggubati is not the only one debuting in 'Ahimsa'. Alongside him, many others are debuting."

"Abhiram is not the male lead. The audience are the main lead of 'Ahimsa'. I have made this film for the audience. No one actor is a lead. There are 20 other characters in 'Ahimsa' besides Abhiram's character."

If Abhiram is not a lead man, why is his name mentioned in the credits as the first one in pre-release material? There was a time when Teja's words used to sound refreshing and maverick in interviews. That was in the early 2000s. When he continues to talk recklessly even after 20 years and 10 flops, it is really annoying!
