'SPY' Trailer: A freedom fighter, a spy, a terrorist...

When 'SPY' was advertised as a spy thriller about uncovering the mystery behind Subhas Chandra Bose's notorious disappearance, one thought there wouldn't be a terrorist angle and brother sentiment. Writer-director Garry BH incorporates the two unexpected elements into what looks like a dramatic whodunit-like thriller.

We see a terrorist who calls himself Satan trying to game the Indian intelligence system by using unclassified Netaji Files as bait (or does he use the files as a cover?). Aryan Rajesh plays Nikhil Siddhartha's elder brother whose end is nigh. The 'Kartikeya 2' actor looks focused throughout.

With music by Vishal Chandrashekar and Sri Charan Pakala (also the background score composer), 'SPY' looks well-made and thoroughgoing. Senior Bollywood artist Makrand Deshpande and Sanya Thakur are part of the cast.

Vamsi Patchipulusu, Mark David are the directors of photography. Sync Cinema has taken care of the sound design. Anirudh Krishnamurthy has written the movie. The film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

With a romantic track involving Iswarya Menon and an effective cameo by Rana Daggubati, the film seems set for take-off on June 29.
