Nikhil Siddhartha says sorry over 'SPY'

Nikhil Siddhartha has opened up about the failure of 'SPY' in almost all languages. In Telugu, the spy thriller had a good release but its release was merely a formality in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. The 'Kartikeya 2' actor apologized to the non-Telugu audience.

The '18 Pages' actor, in a statement today, said that 'SPY' couldn't get a full-fledged release in Hindi due to some contractual issues. Multiplexes didn't screen the movie due to an OTT deal that was not to their liking.

In the overseas market, said Nikhil, as many as 350 Telugu premiere shows were canceled due to delays in submitting content to exhibitors.

The 'Happy Days' actor promised to ensure that his upcoming pan-India movies get a proper multi-lingual release. "We will ensure that the release is proper whatever might be the challenges and pressures," the 'Arjun Suravaram' actor said.
