'Baby' remake could be a blockbuster like 'Arjun Reddy' remake: SKN

Producer SKN is unfazed by the string of flops among Bollywood remakes. The Hindi remakes of 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo', 'Chatrapathi', 'MCA', 'Bhaagamathie' and 'HIT: The First Case' didn't work in Bollywood. 'HIT' was a safe project for Dil Raju and S Naga Vamsi only because of digital streaming rights.

In this context, what is the confidence with which producer SKN is remaking 'Baby' in Hindi? In his latest interview, the 'Taxiwala' maker says that he would like to take the example of 'Kabir Singh'. "The original version, 'Arjun Reddy', made Rs 25 Cr. On the other hand, the Hindi remake made several times that number," SKN says.

The producer awaits the release of 'True Lover' on February 10. The Telugu-dubbed version of the Tamil movie 'Lover' deals with the highs and lows of two young lovers. "'Baby' was set in a slum and a college. On the other hand, 'True Lover' is set in a software company and an urban setting," SKN says.
