Producer S Naga Vamsi on Tuesday blasted the Tollywood media for underplaying the success of MAD Square. He alleged that the media hasn't been talking about the collections earned by the comedy entertainer because it had published underwhelming reviews. He suggested that unnecessary doubts have been raised over the credibility of the claimed figures.

"Reviews are your personal opinions. Despite your reviews, our film is doing exceptionally well. This doesn't feature big names. This is no Pushpa 2 or KGF 2. The audience don't need your judgement. The media and the film industry must co-exist. You depend on celeb interviews and advertisements by producers to run your websites. Do remember that! If films don't do well, you will have to shut down your portals," S Naga Vamsi said.

He dared the media to boycott his films. "You can boycott my movies. Don't interview us and don't write articles. It won't make any difference to me," Naga Vamsi said.

MAD Square, directed by Kalyan Shankar, has collected nearly Rs 70 Cr (Gross) in four days. As per the producer, the film's content has been totally embraced by the audience, disproving the media's criticism of its second half.
