The NTR-Neel project officially kicked off its shoot on Thursday. Now that the film has gone on the floors, interesting details are emerging.
As per the buzz in the town, the untitled film has a period backdrop with an intimate Bengali cultural flavour. Jr NTR's character rumouredly has a Calcuttan social background.
Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts are said to have earmarked a budget to the tune of Rs 400 Cr for the project. This makes it slightly more expensive than Devara, the Koratala Siva directorial. The two banners want to mount the film on a gargantuan scale. Moreover, producers Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar have been dreaming of working with the KGF director for the past five years.
The shoot is currently underway at Ramoji Film City. As many as 3,000 extras are present on the sets of the pan-Indian action film, whose release date is January 9, 2026.
Ravi Basrur and Bhuvan Gowda, respectively, are taking care of the music and cinematography departments.
