Thala, helmed by Amma Rajasekhar, is going to head to theatres on February 14. Starring Amma Raagin Raj and Ankitha Nansar as the lead pair, the film's trailer is out.
Speaking at the Trailer event of the movie today, Editor Shiva Sarni said that the elevations in the film are going to be sure-fire moments. He also observed that some "elevation" moments in the Trailer have generated goosebumps.
D Venkat is glad that Amma Rajasekhar is making a thorough comeback after a hiatus. He spoke of Amma's sacrifices in his career.
Music director Dharma Teja said that the film is naturalistic. He also lauded Raagin Raj's performance in Thala.
Actress Esther Noronha said that Thala will be a perfect win for Amma Rajasekhar and his son, the hero. Saying that the film is a melange of strong performances, she added, "Because of your efforts, this film should become a turning point for everyone who worked hard. Moreover, my wish is that the career graph will double and triple."
Heroine Ankitha said that she was very happy to be making her acting debut.
Hero Amma Raagin Raj spoke of the efforts that went into making Thala. He had an interesting description of the film towards teh end of his speech. "This is a must-watch Violent Valentine's on February 14," he added.
Radha Rajasekhar used the phrase "Violent Valentine" in her speech. The Executive Producer added, "This film will take you somewhere. Action, songs, all the content will be there. Amma Rajasekhar carved this film by giving it to the story."
Actor Sohel talked about Amma's journey, including his tryst with the reality show, Bigg Boss. "After watching the Thala trailer, I felt that Amma Rajasekhar is back. Raagin will be the next Dhanush in the industry," Sohel added.
Hero Ashwin Babu said, "The visuals and content were done wonderfully on a low budget. The background score is very good. Big congratulations to everyone."
Amma Rajasekhar sprinkled his speech with a touch of sentimentality. He added that he had been waiting for years to launch his son. "When I wanted to launch my son, I made sure not to take up a love story. I am unfit to handle the genre. My strength lies in the mass movie genre," Amma added. The writer-director mentioned the names of key artists and technicians, including cinematographer Shyam K Naidu. He spoke about a song revolving around mother sentiment.
Thala also features Rohit, Mukku Avinash, Satyam Rajesh, Ajay, Rajeev Kanakala, Indraja, and Shravan. Dharma Teja and Aslam Keyi are the music directors, with the latter handling BGM. Thala is edited by Shiva Sami.
