For decades, Indian cinema has almost deified first love. Films have glorified teen love as the purest form of love. If it doesn't mature into everlasting relationship, you are condemned to suffer from heartbreak for the rest of your life. Time heals but the best feeling eludes.
Chennai Love Story, Kiran Abbavaram's 12th film, challenges this accepted notion of first love. Written by Baby director Sai Rajesh, the romantic drama twists the meaning of ideal love in a positive way. Sri Gouri Priya plays a lovesick girl who seems to have gone through a break-up.
The title glimpse intrigues the viewer into believing that it's going to be a metaphorical rebirth for one of the characters.
Chennai Love Story is directed by Ravi Namburii, who also serves as its screenwriter. Mani Sharma is composing the music, Viswas Daniel is handling the cinematography, Anantha Sriram is writing the lyrics, Bhaskar Mudavat is the art director, and Santhsoh Naidu is the editor for Chennai Love Story.
Produced jointly by SKN and Sai Rajesh, this one has Dheeraj Mogilineni serving as the co-producer. Chennai Love Story is currently on floors.
