The teaser for Vaanara, a mythological rural drama where the male lead Avinash Thiruveedhula fights those who snatched away his beloved bike, was released on Thursday in the presence of actor and chief guest Manchu Manoj. Speaking on the occasion, the Mirai actor lauded Avinash for realizing the dream of his father, Hanumantha Rao, by becoming an actor. Remarkably, Avinash is also the movie's director.

"Content is what matters the most these days. It's not the budget or the scale that determines box-office success," the Bhairavam actor said, adding that Vaanara is coming out at a time when boundaries are blurring in the field of cinema. "The scenes featuring Shivaji Raja moved me emotionally. I will be teaming up with dialogue writer Sai Madhav Burra soon by bringing Aham Brahmasmi back on track," Manoj added.

In his speech, actor-director Avinash praised Vivek Sagar's music and Chota K Prasad's editing. He particularly mentioned Burra's contributions through not just dialogue but also voice-related guidance, which made his job of directing the movie somewhat less arduous and difficult.

While Manoj was there to launch the teaser, two other actors have helped out in their own ways. Kiran Abbavaram advised on the content, while Vishwak Sen voiced the teaser. "I promise the film will surprise audiences with its scale and storytelling," Avinash said. He further alluded to the movie's Ramayana-based characterizations and themes. While the male lead is a Vaanara-like aggressive, vengeful protagonist, the antagonist (Nandu) derives his villainous personality from Ravana.

Describing the output as beautiful, cinematographer Sujatha Siddharth revealed that some scenes were reshot to achieve perfection. Dialogue writer Sai Madhav Burra, known for RRR and a few other important movies, said that the title itself befits a movie with scale and scope. He appreciated Avinash for making the film in a way that is deserving of the title.

Presenter Shantanu Pathi praised the entire team, specifically talking about his long-time friend Avinash's passion for cinema. Writer Viswajith said that Vaanara owes its origin to the thought that Lord Hanuman would have acted in a different way had he had total freedom in Lanka. The God's confrontation with Ravana would have been direct and more dramatic. Creative Director Janakiram described Vaanara as unique in its mythological content.
