Former Andhra Pradesh Minister Perni Nani today said that Nandamuri Balakrishna lobbied with him personally to get ticket rate hikes for Akhanda.

"I swear on my parents that Balakrishna himself spoke with me on the phone. He requested an appointment with the CM. He requested for ticket rate hikes. He wanted to meet with Jagan Mohan Reddy garu to request for the same. I conveyed the same to the CM, saying that Balakrishna was expecting special favours because Akhanda's budget was apparently high. I told the CM he wanted the administration to be lenient while Akhanda plays in theatres so that cinema tickets could be sold in the black market. Balakrishna was also expecting extra shows," Perni Nani said.

The YSRCP leader's comments come a day after Balakrishna described Jagan as "psycho" on the floor of the Assembly.
