'Don Seenu' and 'Balupu' have come from the Ravi Teja-Gopichand Malineni duo previously. The duo is now coming to the audience with 'Krack'. Shruti Haasan is its heroine. Ahead of its theatrical release on January 9, the Mass Maharaja has spoken to the media about the mass entertainer.
Excerpts:
Like in Tamil Nadu, efforts have started in the Telugu States to get the seating capacity in theatres increased to 100%. Regardless of the occupancy limits, the audience have to bear in mind that wearing a face mask is quite important. If possible, they should also carry a sanitizer bottle with them.
We shot a heavy song after the onset of the pandemic with 200 dances. Nobody got infected by coronavirus on set. It's because we observed every precaution possible. The precautions assured us. Shootings can't be done without basic protocols in place. I used to alert those not wearing a mask to always wear a mask without fail.
It's always a distinct experience to watch a movie during a festival. Before entering the film industry, I used to enjoy watching movies at the time of festivals. 'Krack' is a pakka festival-time commercial entertainer. My powerful character will surely entertain the audience. The mass elements in the story are superb. The audience will enjoy the songs, too. We are confident that 'Krack' will be like a full meals.
I am confident that I and Gopichand are going to score a hat-trick. For some reason, I and Gopichand have got along so well. People are asking if my character is doubly massy in 'Krack'. They will understand whether it is more than that after watching the movie. With the likes of Gopichand and Puri Jagannadh, I never planned things. The projects just fell in place.
The lockdown was a nice period. I am a family man, who spends a lot of time with family members. Thanks to the lockdown, I could give them even more time. I would do workouts regularly. There is a lot of content to read on the Internet. I have also watched a number of movies and learned a great deal. I never got bored even for a second.
After the Puri Jagannadh-Chakri combination films in my career, I have got to work with Thaman even more repeatedly. Thaman knows the kind of music that suits me. The songs are amazing in 'Krack'.
Shruti Haasan has played a very good character. Samuthirakani is one of my favourite individuals. The audience will also like Varalaxmi Sarathkumar's character. GK Vishnu's visuals will surely click with the audience. We have borrowed ideas from real incidents and characters.
Like every time, this Sankranthi, too, is going to see a lot of competition. If the content is strong, all the films are going to work with the audience. Nobody will stick to watching just one film.
Mahadan, my son, played a role in 'Raja The Great' because Anil Ravipudi was persistent. He is studying 9th Class now. There is a long way to go before he can plan to do something. I am currently shooting for 'Khiladi', directed by Ramesh Varma.
