Little Hearts is natural and relatable: Actress Shivani Nagaram

Actress Shivani Nagaram registered her presence in Ambajipeta Marriage Band, a raw romantic action drama that had her in a rooted character. While she could have embraced any and every offer that came her way after its release, she decided to bide her time. When the script of Little Hearts came her way, she found every character quite exciting. In this interview, the budding heroine talks about the film and its highlights. Little Hearts, which hits the cinemas on September 5th, has Shivani playing Mouli Tanuj's love interest. The film also features Rajeev Kanakala, Anita Chowdary, Kanchi, and Satya Krishna.

Little Hearts has strong characters. I didn't accept any movie after my debut's release because I waited for solid content. Music director Sinjith Yerramalli, who is my childhood friend, suggested that I read the script of Little Hearts. Katyayani is my character's name in the movie. Since the story is slice-of-life, I didn't have to do any specific sort of homework to get into the character. It was fun working on the movie. Her friendship with Akhil (Mouli), her college-mate, is naturalistic in how it is treated.

Writer-director Sai Marthand has etched a light-veined love story minus heavy-duty emotions and melodrama. That's what sets the film apart from my debut outing, which had serious treatment.

My character in Little Hearts is mid in her academics. That way, I could relate to her because I too was average in my studies (smiles).

It was fun working on the movie, given that most of the artists are my age. I had a new feeling working with the male artists, considering that I was not into Co-Ed as a student. Mouli has been a content creator; he comes with prior experience with the camera. In contrast, I stepped into movies without prior exposure.

Little Hearts will be a throwback to your college days. You will relive the college-time experiences while watching the movie, which was made for a theatrical release. (Little Hearts will have paid premieres on the evening of September 4th in the Telugu States).

I am glad that our movie is being released in theatres on a big scale, even overseas, thanks to Bunny Vasu garu and Vamsi Nandipati garu backing it as distributors.

My next movie is with actor Suhas. It is titled Hey Bhagavan. Once again, it is going to be a fun-filled entertainer. I am doing two other movies. I am open to working on a web series. The gap between OTT and cinema has shrunk lately. I am not conscious of the competition from other actresses. I don't compare myself with others.
