After Rana Dagguati's 'Virata Parvam' and Venkatesh's 'Narappa', Priyamani has bagged one more important film. 'Cyanide', a raw and realistic film based on the life of the notorious criminal Cyanide Mohan, the physical education teacher in Karnataka who killed 20 young women by giving them cyanide, is the one.
National Award winner Rajesh Touchriver is wielding the megaphone for the thriller. Incidentally, Priyamani, too, is a National Award winner. "We are glad that the versatile actress is on board. She will be essaying the role of a special investigation officer with an IG rank," producer Pradeep Narayanan, an NRI businessman, revealed on Wednesday.
Also featuring Rohini, Chittaranjan Giri, Tanikella Bharani, Ram Gopal Bajaj, Shiju, Shaju, Sriman, Mukundan, Sameer, Sanju Sivram, Riju Bajaj and Rimju, this one will go on the floors in January next year.
To be made in five languages, the film will have Bollywood actor Yashpal Sharma in Priyamani's shoes in Hindi. The film will also be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. To be shot in Manguluru, Hyderabad, Goa, Madikeri, Kodagu and Kasargode, it will be a thriller.
Dialogues are by Ravi Punnam (Telugu), Raajaa Chandrasekhar (Tamil), Rajesh Touchriver and Lennon Babu(Malayalam). Sadat Sainudeen of 'Vishwaroopam' and 'Uttama Villain' fame is the director of photography. Music is by George Joseph, BGM is by Dr. Gopal Sankar, editing is by Sasi Kumar.

About the Cyanide Mohan case
Mohan used to get young women to hotel rooms across Karnataka in the guise of love, gave them emergency contraceptive pills that were laced with cyanide after sending a night with them, and subsequently fleed with their gold ornaments. A court awarded him 6 death penalties and 14 life sentences for his crimes.
