'Konda' is Ram Gopal Varma's next flick. A biopic based on the life of Konda Murali and Konda Surekha from Warangal, the movie is produced by Malla Reddy and Naveen Reddy. The film stars Adith Arun and Irra Mor in the lead.

Today, a party was hosted by the team of the film ahead of its theatrical release. RGV surprised everyone by making an entry in the Maoist's uniform. He also performed a song titled 'Balupekkina dhanikuda..' from the movie.

Speaking on the occasion, RGV said that he hadn't heard about Konda Murali before this movie. "I don't follow politics. I am not affiliated with any political party. Even though I have made movies such as 'Satya', 'Company' and 'Raktha Charitra', I hadn't heard about Murali. Without Hilter, there wouldn't have been the second World War. Without Mahatma Gandhi, there wouldn't have been a meaningful freedom struggle. Konda Murali is someone who falls somewhere in between the two personalities. I was thoroughly influenced by his experiences. He has fought for the ideals he believed in. Murali invited trouble. He didn't run away from danger. I have learned about him both from his enemies and the police."

Konda Murali said, "People think that I don't listen to anybody, much like RGV. I don't go back on my words. I believe in serving the people. RGV garu has made films with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan. His characters have been inspired by the likes of Bal Thackeray. He has worked really hard to make 'Konda'."

Adith Arun said, "We are glad that Warangal has embraced us with both hands. I had waited to team up with RGV garu for many years. I wanted to act in an action blockbuster under his direction. My dream has now come true. This film has introduced me to a story from Telangana."

Prudhviraj, Tulasi, LB Sriram, 'Auto' Ram Prasad, Abhilash Chowdhary, Shravan and others are part of the cast. Produced by Company Production and YoYo Talkies, the film has cinematography by Malharbhatt Joshi.
