The song 'Emi Bathuku Emi Bathuku' from '1997' has become a big hit. Composed by Koti and sung by Mangli, it has clocked a whopping 8 million views. Written by Dr. Mohan and Adesh Ravi, the song was released last month at a special event.

Talking about the chartbuster status of the song, Koti said that the lyrics and the singing have contributed immensely to make it a super hit. "Mangli's songs have been registering blockbuster status these days. '1997' is a well-meaning flick. Atrocities in our society happen on a daily basis. The evil elements need sense and we hope our movie conveys its message across effectively," the composer said.

Coming to the movie, '1997' is based on some real-life incidents. Starring Naveen Chandra, Dr. Mohan and Srikanth Iyyangar, this one is directed by Dr. Mohan. Edited by Nandamuri Hari, the film is produced by Meenakshi Ramavath of Eswar Parvathi Movies.

Also starring Koti, Banerjee, Ravi Prakash and Rama Raju, the film has cinematography by Chitti Babu.
