'Bimbisara' and 'Sita Ramam' have ended Tollywood's dry spell in a spectacular way. Despite non-stars (Dulquer Salmaan is not a star hero in Telugu) doing them, they minted excellent figures on Friday (August 5).

After yesterday, three heroes must be heaving a sight of relief. They are Vijay Deverakonda, Nithiin and Nikhil Siddhartha, who await three important releases later this month.

VD's first pan-India flick 'Liger' is coming out on August 25. Nearly two months of a string of super-flops like 'Thank You', 'Ramarao On Duty', and 'The Warriorr' must have infused a degree of concern in the makers of 'Liger'. The narrative was that, all of a sudden, the audience had decided to stop watching movies in theatres after 'Vikram' and 'Major'. 'Bimbisara' and 'Sita Ramam' have killed the myth. 'Liger' might take even a Rs 10 Cr Day 1 opening in Telugu, as the consumer is ready to spend.

'Macherla Niyojakavargam' is heading to theatres on August 12. Nithiin needs it to become a hit and he can hope that the buzz around the film (after the trailer release recently) will translate into numbers.

'Karthikeya 2' must take heart from how 'Bimbisara' is being received, as these two films have something in common: they both belong to unusual genres.

Friday night must have given the three heroes a good sleep!
